Water & Wheels Classic Car Show under way at Cape Harbour
The Water & Wheels Classic Car Show is under way at Cape Harbour.
The annual event, which features luxury yachts, a car show, live music and more, opened Friday and continues today and Sunday. Hours are 10 a.m. to 10 p.m., and it is free and open to the public.
The “Classic Car Show” is located across from Rumrunners, starting at 10 a.m. and running until 2 p.m.
The Marina at Cape Harbour will be filled with boats and yachts throughout the weekend.
In addition, the Charlotte Harbor Paddlers “Draggin Dragons” will be on display today from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Musical entertainment will feature Stolen Fruit today from 6-10 p.m., while Diane Russell will take the stage Sunday from 4-7 p.m.
Local author Robert Macomber will be at the Harbour View Gallery from 10 a.m. to noon for a talk on “Cuba then, Cuba now,” about research and writing he did in Cuba for his 10th novel, “Honorable Lies,” which comes out in October. He will also be available to sign books and chat with fans.
In addition to all the treats offered in the car/boat show, the businesses and restaurants at Cape Harbour will also be open.
