Veterans to commemorate 68th anniversary of flag raising at Iwo Jima
Iwo Jima veterans will celebrate the 68th anniversary of the landing and flag raising on Iwo Jima at 10 a.m., Saturday, Feb. 23, at Eco Park in Cape Coral.
Chairs will be furnished for veterans and their families, all other attendees are asked to bring chairs.
Lunch will follow at the Veterans Foundation at 4820 Leonard St., in Cape Coral. Those attending are asked to RSVP at 239-458-1980 and leave a message.
Eco Park is located on Southeast 24th Street, parallel to Veterams Memorial Parkway, near the Veterans Memorial Bridge.
