Shark Battalion wins dodgeball title
Oasis High School’s Junior ROTC Program, the Shark Battalion, hosted its second annual dodgeball tournament in the school’s gym on Saturday, Dec.22, 2012.
After winning the title, the champs from Oasis High School then took on a team comprised of Cape Coral Police Department officers, and in a hotly-contested best two-out-of-three match, “out-dodged” the cops to retain the trophy!
Numerous teams from throughout Lee County, including entries from Cape Coral High School and Riverdale High School JROTC Programs, vied for the title in this exciting and increasingly popular tournament.
Oasis High School’s Shark Battalion was awarded “Honor Unit with Distinction” status on Dec. 13 by the Army’s Cadet Command, the highest rating achievable by an army JROTC unit. Shark cadets will be participating in a multitude of upcoming events early in 2013, to include the Lee County Drill Meet, the JROTC Ball and the District Marksmanship Competition.
HOOAH!!
