Mariner High student to perform at presidential inauguration parade
Kyler Allenson, a Mariner High School senior, will be playing at the 57th Presidential Inauguration Parade Monday in Washington, D.C.
Allenson is a euphonium player in the Boston Crusaders Drum and Bugle Corps. The over 150-member corps competes and tours the U.S. during the summer, culminating in the DCI World Championships in Indianapolis in August. The Crusaders finished 7th in 2012.
Allenson is also a member of the Mariner High School Silver Magic Band, under the direction of Jaes Samz, and a former member of the Southwest Florida Youth Symphony as a bassonist.
