Governor appoints Cape doctor to Board of Optometry
Gov. Rick Scott announced Thursday the appointments of Dr. Stuart I. Kaplan and Dr. Christopher B. King to the Board of Optometry.
Kaplan, 43, of Fort Myers, is an optometrist with Tyson Eye at Cape Coral Eye Center P.A. He fills a vacant seat and is appointed for a term beginning Jan. 3, 2013, and ending Oct. 31, 2016.
King, 56, of Tallahassee, is an optometrist with South East Eye Specialists. He succeeds Rebecca Del Moral and is appointed for a term beginning Jan. 3, 2013, and ending Dec. 31, 2015.
The appointments are subject to confirmation by the Florida Senate.
