Summer hours winding down at Sun Splash
As local children prepare to go back to school, Sun Splash Family Waterpark is winding down its summer operating schedule. This is the final week of the season that the water park will be open to the public every day from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Beginning Monday, Aug. 8, Sun Splash will be open weekends only until the park closes for the season on Sunday, Sept. 25.
“Although school is starting back early this year, the weather’s still hot and perfect for splashing down at Sun Splash,” Waterpark Manager Sandra Greiner said in a prepared statement. “We hope local families will continue to come out and enjoy the water park this last week of summer vacation and during weekends until we close for the season the end of September.”
In addition to being open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays from Aug. 8 through Sept. 25, Sun Splash will host two additional “Family Fun Nights” from 5:30-8:30 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 13, and Saturday, Sept. 10, as well as two “Aqua Theatre Nights” from 6-10 p.m., Friday, Aug. 25, and Friday, Sept. 23 (weather permitting.)
