Chabad Jewish Center to move to new building
The Chabad Jewish Center of Cape Coral will soon move into a new building due to the continued growth it has experienced since being established in 2004.
The center was originally launched in a living room by Rabbi Yossi and Rivky Labkowski, before it relocated to a rented facility four years ago.
“As we continue to grow, expand and inspire, we also continue our commitment to maintaining an environment that serves the needs of the Jewish community in Cape Coral,” Rabbi Yossi Labkowski, executive director of Chabad Jewish Center of Cape Coral, said in a prepared statement.
He said they are hoping to close on the building at the end of June with renovations beginning in July. Labkowski anticipates to move into the new center, located at 1716 Cape Coral Parkway, West, in August.
Labkowski said they have been working on getting the building for six months.
“The building is much bigger than where we are now,” he said, adding that he hopes to eventually expand to the entire building.
