Public parking areas available for Red, White & Boom! event
The annual Red, White & Boom! celebration will be held along Cape Coral Parkway near the foot of the Cape Coral Bridge on Sunday, July 4. Hours are 3-10 p.m.
The city of Cape Coral is encouraging visitors to use the free, public parking areas located throughout the downtown CRA district. Visitors are advised to avoid parking at any private business that has “Tow Away” signs posted at their property. Tow trucks may be patrolling the district looking for parking violators, and your vehicle could be towed. These towing companies are charging more than $200 to reclaim a vehicle from their storage lot.
Red White & Boom is Southwest Florida’s biggest Independence Day Celebration, with more than 20,000 attendees expected. The free event features live entertainment, kid’s area, food, drinks, free giveaways and a spectacular fireworks display. A map of the public parking areas can be viewed at the city website (www.capecoral.net ) via the news highlights.
