Fort Myers Beach Anchorage Advisory Committee to host Cruisers Appreciation Day
The Town of Fort Myers Beach and the Anchorage Advisory Committee will host Cruisers Appreciation Day on Sunday, April 12, from noon to 3 p.m. at Bayside Park, celebrating the town’s boating community at the Matanzas Pass Mooring Field.
The event recognizes boaters who utilize the Matanzas Pass Mooring Field and highlights the important role the boating community plays in supporting the environmental and economic vitality of Fort Myers Beach. The celebration will also provide residents and visitors an opportunity to meet boaters, learn about life on the water and explore marine-related organizations serving the community.
The free community gathering will feature educational booths from environmental and marine nonprofits and opportunities for attendees to connect with local boaters and organizations focused on coastal stewardship.
Boaters registered in the mooring field on the day of the event and invited VIP guests will receive a complimentary meal. A special meal option will also be available for purchase by members of the public.
Activities will include educational programs, community networking, and informational displays highlighting boating safety, environmental protection and marine resources in the region.
Cruisers Appreciation Day will also lead into the Sunday evening concert beginning at 4 p.m., offering an afternoon of entertainment along the Fort Myers Beach waterfront.
The event highlights the town’s Matanzas Pass Mooring Field, which includes 89 mooring balls located on both sides of the Matanzas Pass Bridge and provides amenities such as showers.
