Fort Myers Beach Woman’s Club to hold Christmas Tree Festival

The Fort Myers Beach Woman’s Club will be hosting the 8th Annual Christmas Tree Festival sponsored by the King Family Foundation on Dec.12 and Dec. 13 at the Margaritaville Resort in the Ballroom on Fort Myers Beach.

The two-day fundraiser supports participating nonprofits in the greater Fort Myers Beach area.

“This year’s event is proving to be our largest ever,” said Megan Allers, Festival Co-Chair in an announcement submitted to the Fort Myers Beach Observer. “The Festival has continued to grow and raise substantial money for the participating nonprofits.”

The free festival includes two days of silent bidding on custom Christmas trees and holiday wreaths donated and decorated by local nonprofits and businesses.

All funds raised for each tree will go back to their designated charity.

Friday night kicks off with a VIP early preview and cocktail party from 4:30-5:30, featuring live music, cash bar and food trucks. Access to the VIP Event is only available to pre-sold VIP ticket holders. VIP tickets are $100 each and available to purchase online at www.fmb-wc.org.

The event will be open to the public at no charge at 5:30 pm.

On Saturday, the festivities begin at 1:00 pm and features a holiday vendor market, bake sale, and a chili tasting and cook-Off.

First place prize is $750 and second place prize in $500 – prizes given in each class. Still limited to a maximum of 15 entrants.

At 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, winners will be announced for the highest bidders of the trees, wreaths, and centerpieces and the top chili producers, along with the grand prize winner of the holiday raffle.
