Latest dune walkover and shower platform at beach

A dune walkover and shower platforms are being constructed at Times Square adjacent to the pier at Lynn Hall Memorial Park by Lee County.
According to Lee County spokesperson Tim Engstrom, there will be an eight-foot wide accessible ramp with a shower/foot shower platform for patrons entering and exiting the pier and going to and from the beach.
There are two more walkovers to be constructed in the middle of the park with a six-foot wide accessible ramp with shower/foot shower platforms for patron maneuvering from the bathroom/parking lot to and from the beach, Engstrom said. The first walkover has been completed.
The entire project has an estimated cost of $585,540, which will be paid through Lee County Tourist Development Tax dollars.
