Death investigation underway on Fort Myers Beach
A body of an unidentified man was found this morning by the water near 2580 Estero Blvd. Deputies arrived at the scene at around 9:30 a.m. Officers with Florida Fish and Wildlife were also present.
According to a witness, the man’s body was face down in the sand at 9 a.m. The witness said that it looked like the body had been there for a few hours. He was fully dressed and wearing a backpack and sandals. The witness said that the body was placed into a body bag soon after, at around 9:30 a.m.
