Annual Independence Day parade organizers are seeking participants

The 13th annual Town of Fort Myers Beach Fourth of July Parade is seeking participants. The parade begins at 10 a.m. on Bay Road, heading north along Estero Boulevard to the Matanzas Pass Bridge. The parade usually lasts an hour.

Parade participants are asked to submit an application on or by Friday, June 21. Cost is $40 for businesses who wish to participate, $20 for non-profits and free for families.

In previous years, the parade has featured floats, marching bands, local businesses, families, etc.

Registration can be done by going to the Bay Oaks Recreational Center or calling them at 239-765-4222.
