Tickets on sale for Valentine’s Dinner Dance
Tickets are now on sale for the annual Valentine’s Dinner Dance, which takes place this Saturday.
Knight of Columbus Officer George Romita said after attending the dance for many years he decided to get involved and help plan.
“We do things with the heart,” he said.
The dance, which is $25 per person, will take place at the Knights of Columbus of Ascension Parish, 6025 Estero Blvd., Saturday, Feb. 16. Doors open at 5:30 p.m., with dinner, catered by “Touch of Italy,” beginning at 6 p.m.
The dinner will include such food as ravioli and potato salad, accompanied by wine, beer and water.
“It’s a good atmosphere of dancing and good food,” Romita said, adding that they want their guests to be extremely satisfied.
Entertainment will be provided by Sanchez Entertainment, with dancing beginning after dinner.
“Most of the time we don’t leave here until 10. It depends on the people. They ask for more dancing, we stay here. There is no limited time to allow you to dance. We love that,” he said.
Tickets can be purchased at the gazebo after weekend Masses, at the door the night of the dance, or by calling George at 630-546-4801 or Pietro at 239-284-6516.
Romita said he thinks the $25 ticket price is very reasonable with all the food, drinks and entertainment included.
“We are hoping there will be a good turnout. We are looking forward to it,” he said.
Money collected from the dance will benefit the Ascension Knights of Columbus local charities.
