There’s nothing better than a dip in the Gulf after a 3.1-mile race.
More than 300 runners tested their speed Saturday at the 12th Annual Turtle Trot, hosted by Friends of Lovers Key and the Fort Myers Track Club at Lovers Key State Park. The race began in the parking lot and the course wound through the park’s scenic trails before ending at the beach pavilion. Michael McHugh of Fort Myers was the overall male winner of the day, and Ali Gardino of Naples was the overall female winner.
