Beach School gets ready for kindergarten roundup
The Fort Myers Beach Elementary School is looking for next year’s newest students.
The school will hold its annual Kindergarten Round-Up Tuesday, April 4, from 10:15 to 11:30 a.m. for all kindergarten students entering school in August 2017 for the 2017-2018 school year.
During the roundup, future students and parents will meet Principal Jeff Dobbins, get a tour of the school, and spend time with current kindergarteners for reading, buddy time and free lunch.
Parents can bring their enrollment paperwork to the event. The requirements are:
Child must be 5 years old by Sept. 1
Proof of residence on Estero Island or San Carlos Island
Health exam dated within 12 months of enrollment date of 8/10/17
Shot records
Original Birth Certificate
Social Security Card (if available)
Custody Papers (if child does not live with both natural parents)
