Florida Highway Patrol to conduct DUI Wolfpack this weekend

The Division of Florida Highway Patrol is committed to promoting safety for motorists and pedestrians using the public highways and rights of way of the state of Florida and to provide a deterrent for those who violate laws that regulate and control motor vehicle and pedestrian traffic.

Specifically, Troop F Fort Myers will hold a DUI Wolfpack Operation commencing Friday, June 29, 2012 at 8 p.m. and ending on Saturday, June 30, 2012 at 3 a.m. The Wolfpack operation will take place in Lee and Collier Counties and will saturate areas that are high crash injuries, fatalities and impaired drivers.

Driving impaired from alcohol or drugs put everyone on the roadways in danger. Florida law considers a driver with .08 or higher Blood Alcohol Content to be impaired. Drivers under the age of 21 with a BAC of .02 or higher are also in violation of Florida law.

The Florida Highway Patrol would like to remind everyone that *FHP (*347) dialed from any cell phone contacts FHP should you need to report an aggressive driver or require roadside assistance.
