The 11th annual Toys for Christmas Toy Drive and Patrick Stott Memorial Bike Run benefit, hosted by the Beach Pub, 1661 I St., has been slated for Sunday, Nov. 13, with registration at 10 a.m. and the ride beginning at 10:30 a.m. The cost to ride is $10 per poker hand.

During the all-day benefit, get ready to enjoy great live music, fun, food, 50/50s, prizes, giveaways and of course the annual memorial bike run.

Lou Caleca, owner of the Beach Pub and avid biker, is sure to organize his run around distance, with about three stops, to ensure the riders have plenty of time to enjoy some wind in the hair.

Those attended the benefit are asked to either make a cash donation for the cause, or donate a new, unwrapped toy.

All toys and funds raised are donated to the Fort Myers Beach Fire Department, for proper dispersal to our local islanders, offering an extra ray of cheer during the holiday season.

“I’m always excited to hold this benefit, for all the good that it does for our community especially in these hard economic times,” Lou said. “I feel it’s especially important to continue it right now.”
