Lee County Solid Waste Department reports schedule change for next week
Please be advised that all unincorporated areas of Lee County as well as the City of Bonita Springs and the Town of Fort Myers Beach will have garbage, recycling, and yard waste collections delayed for one day the entire week beginning Monday, Sept. 5, 2011 in observance of the Labor Day holiday.
If your normal garbage pick up day is on Monday, it will be Tuesday; if it is normally on Tuesday, then it will be Wednesday, Wednesday’s pick up will be on Thursday, Thursday’s on Friday, and Friday’s on Saturday.
This schedule is only in effect from Sept, 5 through 10, 2011. Regular scheduled collections will resume on Monday, Sept. 12th.
The Lee County Resource Recovery Facility at 10500 Buckingham Road in East Fort Myers is closed on Monday, September 5th in observance of the holiday.
The Household Chemical Waste Drop Off Facility on 6431 Topaz Court is closed on Monday, September 5th in observance of the holiday. The facility is open from 8 am to noon on Saturday, September 3rd.
