LCSO reports Bonita man arrested for identity theft
On Friday, Sept. 2, 2011 at approximately 7 a.m., Detectives with the Lee County Sheriff’s Office Economic Crimes Unit arrested a Bonita Springs man for using the identity of another person for employment. Detectives previously made contact with the victim and were informed that the victim’s personal information was used to file a tax return. The victim also attempted to collect unemployment compensation benefits after being laid off from his job and was denied, due to the fact someone was working under his social security number and name.
Detectives with the Economic Crimes Unit were able to determine that the suspect was working at Bayside Improvement Community located at 4650 Coconut Rd Bonita Springs Lee County Florida. Detectives obtained the employment records from the business and it substantiated the victim’s criminal complaint. Detectives came in contact with the suspect and asked him his name, which he replied with the victim’s name. The suspect then provided a resident alien id card with the victim’s name and date of birth on it. The suspect was asked his real identity and provided a second form of identification with the name Juan Francisco Alfaro-Lovo, date of birth 01/03/85.
Juan Francisco Alfaro-Lovo was arrested and charged with identity theft, for using personal identification information of another to gain employment.
