Foundation gives two donations to recipients
The Fort Myers Beach Community Foundation awarded donations to Laces of Love and The Gresham-Kite Scholarship House to advance their work in the community.
Jeanne Nealon, director of Laces of Love, received the donation of $1,000for the group in their help to provide new shoes for low income and disadvantaged children and to educate the public on the needs of those children in Lee County. Kate Duffy, president of the Foundation, and Nancy Mullholland, Treasurer, presented the donation.
The Gresham- Kite Scholarship House at Florida Gulf Coast University was the recipient of $500. The Scholarship House provides housing scholarships to young women in Florida. Candice Sessa, a sophomore from Hollywood, Florida and Brandy Harrison from Newberry, Florida, accepted the donation from Kate Duffy and Judy Owen of the Community Foundation.
