CMCS shows results for Estebel Night Race

The Caloosahatchee Marching and Chowder Society sponsored its annual

Estebel Night Race on Saturday, June 4, in the Gulf of Mexico off of

Fort Myers Beach.

This race began in the vicinity of the San Carlos Light and went out to Knapps Point off of the southern end of Sanibel Island. It returned to the starting area for a total distance of 15 miles.

The weather was perfect for an evening sail into the sunset with warm temperatures and a nice breeze.

Results:

Multi-hull: 1. – Passion III (Ned Christensen)

Spinnaker: 1. – Macushla (Joel Andrews)

Non-Spinnaker: 1. – Air Supply (Steve Romaine); 2. Desperado (Cecil

Hazen); 3. – Sunrunner (Art Monahan)

Cruising: 1. – Miss Cathleen (John Finnegan); 2.- Chase The Clouds

(Bev Duff).
