Although they still have not been in existence for a full year, it is the end of the season for the newly formed Fort Myers Beach Community Foundation since many of their members are heading north for the summer.

This transition is one of the reasons the Pilot Club, in existence for 24½ years on the beach, transitioned into the FMBCF last summer. The demands of the Pilot International organization were getting harder to meet because of the seasonal residence of many of its members.

The new club has transitioned well with a mix of old and new members taking over the leadership positions this year. All will be continuing for another year with the exception of Jeanne Butzer who will leave the board and be replaced by Lois Parker.

Remaining officers are: President Kate Duffy, VP Anita Cereceda, Secretary Nicole Bennett, Treasurer Nancy Mullholand, and Directors Alicia Steinhagen and Judy Kilburg.
