Bird nesting officials need volunteers for posting

Volunteers are needed for bird nest posting.

According to officials, least tern season is here and nests are popping up fast and furious. Anyone who can lend a helping hand is encouraged to join a group that is meeting at Carlos Point Condominiums at 10:30 a.m. tomorrow morning. It’s hot outside, so bring sunscreen, water and a hat.

The entire colony is expected to be posted, which will reduce disturbance to the birds and make things easier for the Bird Stewards to point beach goers onto the best path.
