PTO announces golf tournament and pre-party
It’s all for the kids.
Fort Myers Beach Elementary P.T.O. will hold its ninth annual Golf Tournament at the Fort Myers Beach Golf Course at 4200 Bay Beach Lane on Saturday, May 7.
The school PTO is looking for members of the community to sign up for the cause.
Cost per team is $240 ($60 per player). For forms and information, contact Tracey Gore at t-gore@comcast.net or call 849-3603. Checks are made payable to Beach Elementary PTO.
“Thanks to all our donators, sponsors and players to date,” said Gore. “So far, Grand Sponsors include the Fort Myers Beach Observer, Oyster Bay Parks, Dennigmann Construction, Bennett Chiropractic & Wellness Center and Susan Muller Interior Design. Executive Sponsors include Century 21/TriPower Realty and Citrola’s. Business Sponsors include Subway at Santini Plaza, Fish Tale Marina, Shamrock Irish Pub and The Cigar Hut.
“We have a variety of donations from vacation stays, restaurant gift certificates, watersports, florist, Salon package, themed gift baskets, various boat rides, rounds of golf all over the area and more. All of these will be auctioned off on May 5, at the cocktail party, or raffled off on May 7, at the golf tournament, as well as the Ball Drop where someone will win $500!”
Gore said the Ball Drop is the only game you don’t need to be present to win, so get your ball drop tickets now! Chris Heidrink of Heidrick & Company is sponsoring the $10,000 Hole-In-One prize again this year at hole #11, as well as other prizes for other holes.
“There is a limited amount of teams able to register. We are filling up quick, so call if you want to reserve your foursome before its too late. There may be room for a few singles to join a team if you’re interested. Teams are $240 for a foursome, $60 per player. A fabulous catered luncheon and awards ceremony will be held after the tournament with prizes for men’s, women’s, mixed, longest drive and some games on the course. Each player gets a goody bag and drinks on the course. And as you know… it’s so much fun! Please don’t miss this opportunity to be a part of the biggest kid’s fundraiser on the island,” Gore said.

Sponsorship opportunities
Many sponsorship opportunities are available to help the Beach students and school in general.
n Hole Sponsors – all sponsors will be recognized by having a sign posted at a tee or other location on the golf course, and will be mentioned in the upcoming event advertising, newspaper articles and school newsletters. You will also be recognized at the pre-event Cocktail Party with a certificate of appreciation, and be given the opportunity to place promotional items in the golfers “goodie bags”.
n Business sponsors: $50 – Sign at tee with company logo, certificate of appreciation and a thank you in the media.
n Executive sponsor: $100 – Business sponsor privileges PLUS promotional materials can be displayed at tournament.
n Grand sponsor: $250 – Executive Sponsor privileges PLUS a Certificate of Appreciation, PLUS name/logo displayed at Cocktail Party, Luncheon & Award Ceremony where everyone will be seated, PLUS our guest at the Luncheon & Award Ceremony.
PTO annual Golf Scramble Pre-Tournament Cocktail Party
The Beach Elementary School PTO will be holding a Cinco De Mayo Cocktail Party and Silent Auction at Bayfront Bistro at Snook Bight Marina on Thursday, May 5, from 5 to 8 p.m.
Come join the parents and teachers for a night of Cinco De Mayo drink specials, Cinco De Mayo snacks and a silent auction and raffle -all to support the Fort Myers Beach Elementary School PTO! Don’t miss your chance to bid on vacation packages, water sports rentals, boat rentals, spa packages, golf packages, restaurant packages and more. All donated from our generous local community.
Golf tournament sponsors will be honored at 7 p.m. with a certificate of appreciation. Raffle prizes from local vendors will be given away.
