LCSO reports suspects sought in crime spree

During the early morning hours of Saturday, April 9, 2011, the Lee County Sheriff’s Office received several complaints of burglaries, thefts and attempted thefts of automobiles in the Island Park area of south Fort Myers. Due to the nature of the incidents, the investigation was turned over to members of the Lee County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division.

Investigators and Crime Scene Detectives responded to the area to speak with victims and witnesses and to gather evidence. The investigation revealed a total of twelve offenses, including five residential burglaries, three vehicle burglaries, three attempted motor vehicle thefts and one motor vehicle theft.

The Lee County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help in identifying the individuals responsible for these crimes.
