Indian Creek resort presents scholarship
The Indian Creek Park community located on Fort Myers Beach presented its annual scholarship check to Lee County High Tech Center Central at a luncheon on March 16.
For more than 25 years, students have benefited from the generosity of the residents. The funds are used to assist students with tuition, fees, and emergencies. Many students wouldn’t have been able to attend school without their support. To raise scholarship funds, the residents of Indian Creek Park recycle newspapers and aluminum cans, sell coupon books, and hold fundraising events.
The partnership between High Tech Central and Indian Creek Resort in such dire economic times is proof that positive relationships between schools and the community are invaluable necessities.
