Garden club elects officers
Members of the Estero Island Garden Club met at Nervous Nellie’s Restaurant for their Annual Luncheon and Installation of Officers on April 4, 2011.
Four officers will be serving for their second year, and two officers are newly elected. The continuing officers are Becky Bodnar, Carol Lowery, Madeline Wallace, and Sharon Cotter. The newly elected officers are Bonnie McClure and Margaret Schmidt.
Friends and spouses of Garden Club members were invited to the luncheon, and door prizes consisted of handcrafted garden art items and certificates donated by local merchants around Times Square.
On April 29, Garden Club members will be at the Mound House at 2 p.m. to assist with the distribution of trees purchased by residents for Arbor Day.
The final meeting of the Estero Island Garden Club will be on May 2. At that meeting, Dorothy Rodwell will make a presentation about Matanzas Pass. The public is welcome to attend.
