Choices for Lenten Mid-Week Worship
Every Wednesday throughout the Lenten season, St. Peter Lutheran Church, 3751 Estero Blvd., Fort Myers Beach, will conduct mid-week Lenten worship in two different expressions. At 9:30 a.m. Wednesdays, the service will be a traditional Lenten worship experience, while the 7:30 p.m., service will be a Taizé Prayer Service. “Taizé Prayer” is a meditative time of quiet prayer, scripture and music to allow rest and spiritual renewal.
A Soup and Sandwich Supper is served weekly on Wednesdays at 6:30 p.m. prior to evening Lenten worship. All are welcome!
Weekend worship opportunities at St. Peter Lutheran Church are Saturdays at 5:30 p.m., and Sundays at 8;15, 9:45 and 11:15 a.m.. Holy Communion is served on the first and third weekends of the month.
On Wednesday, April 6 at 6:30 p.m., St. Peter Lutheran Church, 3751 Estero Blvd., Ft. Myers Beach, will host “Christ in the Passover,” a complete Passover Seder dinner and presentation to recreate the drama of the Last Supper and broaden understanding of the origin of Communion, the rich heritage of the Christian faith, and the many prophesies within the Passover experience pointing to Jesus Christ. “Christ in the Passover” will be presented by Robyn Wilk of Jews for Jesus, who is director of the Jews for Jesus missionary training program in New York City.
