Wa-Ke Hatchee Park hosts grand opening Saturday
Wa-Ke Hatchee Park’s expansion will be showcased this Saturday with a grand opening event slated for March 12. Amenities are ready to be enjoyed year-round.
The new features of the south Fort Myers park include two lakes, tennis courts, walking trails, a playground, a dog park, restrooms and a new parking lot.
Join us at 10 a.m. for the ribbon cutting ceremony of our new park! Immediately following the ribbon cutting, there will be an arts & crafts show with a wide variety of vendors until 5 p.m. A Cruise In will be from 2 to 5 p.m. featuring various cars, trucks and bikes. Ending the day will be our annual Movie In The Park, featuring “Shrek Forever After,” showing at 7 p.m.
Other activities throughout the day will include: live band, food vendors, giveaways, demonstrations, & much more family fun! Admission is free! Come out and see for yourself all that our new park has to offer! Please use our new entrance at 16760 Bass Road to access the event.
