Town sells trees for Arbor Day
The Town and the Estero Island Garden Club will be celebrating Arbor Day on Fort Myers Beach, beginning with a Proclamation reading at the new grounds at the Mound House, 289 Connecticut on Friday, April 29, from 10 to noon. Then the purchased trees will be distributed to the residents.
This year, the following half-priced trees (the Town pays the other half) in 7-gallon containers will be available for purchase from now until April 22: Foxtail Palms ($16.50); Christmas Palms ($16.50); Orange Geiger ($20) and Crape Myrtle ($17.50).
