The shelter is open for adoptions from 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday through Saturday. The Shelter is located at 5600 Banner Drive, Fort Myers, next to the Lee County Sheriff’s Office, off Six Mile Cypress Pkwy.
All adoptions include spay/neuter surgery, age-appropriate vaccinations, rabies vaccination and county license if 3 months or older, flea treatment, worming, heartworm test for dogs 6 months and over, feline aids & leukemia test for cats, training DVD, 10-day health guarantee, and a bag of Science Diet pet food.
The adoption package is valued at $500.

Comments: I came to the shelter as a stray in September 2010 so I guess you could say I’m one of the “Long Timers” here. Despite the length of time I’ve spent in a kennel, I am a remarkably well-adjusted dog. You will be able to see me soon appearing in a WINK TV public service announcement with Lois Thome. Filming with Lois in the park was lots of fun! I just wish someone would adopt me soon so I could have fun everyday and a home to call my own.?Adoption Fee: $75

All of the other cats rescued with me have found homes. I’m not sure why someone hasn’t chosen me. After all, I am affectionate, smart, and cute. I love the one-on-one time I spend with the volunteers each day but I long for a real home and someone who will love me as much as I love them. ?Adoption Fee: $50
