What’s Happening at Chapel by the Sea

2 min read

We are a church for the community and we welcome all people seeking to know and serve Christ.

Here are a few of the many thing happening at Chapel : Pastor Maynard continues the study of Matthew in “Chapel Chats” which meets on Wednesday mornings at 10 a.m. Our Healthful Living classes include Weight Watchers that meets on Wednesdays at 9 a.m. (standard fees apply) and Low Impact Aerobics & Weight Training Classes that meets on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday at 9 a.m. ($5 suggested donation per class). Call our Parish nurse, Sheila for more information at 463-3173 ext.23. We have a special hunger program at Chapel we call Three Cents a Meal. This is a quiet, special offering of the Presbyterian Hunger Program that speaks quite loudly when we work together with other churches through the Peace River Presbytery. Working together, we see the results of small acts done regularly such as contributing 3 cents each meal, each person, each day. Daily participation is a reminder of the reality of hunger for millions of our brothers and sisters in the world and in our own communities. Half of the offering is designated by the National Ministries of the General Assembly for use by the Guatemala Rights Action, a rights based hunger development project. The rest is given equally to missions in Immokalee and to God’s Table at Chapel by the Sea. We continue with two Sunday worship services one at 8 a.m. and one at 10. Each service is followed by coffee hour fellowship in Silver Hall. Holy Communion will be served at our March 6 services. We welcome all to Chapel by the Sea Presbyterian Church, USA. Membership is open to all who profess their faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. New members bring energy, talent and diversity to our congregation and we celebrate their decision to become part of our church family. If you have been visiting, we want to invite you to become a member. We welcome year round and seasonal memberships.

“Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace.” Colossians 3:15
