Fort Myers accident kills one, sends another to hospital
Shortly before 9 p.m. on Feb. 8, 2011, deputies were dispatched to an accident on College Parkway just east of South Pointe Boulevard. Due to the severity of the accident, detectives with the Traffic Homicide Unit assumed the investigation.
The accident occurred when a motorcycle ran into a minivan. The male driver of the motorcycle was killed. The female passenger on the motorcycle was injured and transported to the hospital. The driver of the minivan, a female, was not injured. The investigation into the cause of the accident continues.
