Coaches invited to free Miracle coaching clinic
Officials from the Fort Myers Miracle are inviting little league coaches to a free coaching clinic. The clinic is scheduled for 6 to 7:30 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 7. It will take place at the minor league building at the Lee County Sports Complex drive past Hammond Stadium to the minor league building on the right-hand side.
This is a good opportunity for little league volunteers to study baseball strategies and teaching technique with professional coaches. Talk baseball with coaches Stew Cliburn, himself a former major league pitcher and Jeff Smith, Florida State League manager of the year for the Miracle in 2009. Both work in the Minnesota Twins organization. Hope to see you there.
