Bonita Bay holds free fishing event
On Saturday, Feb. 26, Lee County Parks and Recreation in conjunction with Bonita Bay Fishing Club will host their annual Celebrating Abilities Fishing Day at Lakes Regional Park at 7330 Gladiolus Dr. in Fort Myers.
Registration begins at 9 a.m., with the event kicking off at 9:30. The group will take a train ride at 10:30 and lunch will begin at 11:30. Registration for child with special needs ages 6-22 includes: Fishing hat, guide, pole, award, lunch and scheduled train ride. Families are welcomed to bring their own fishing equipment and chairs. Pre-registration is required and limited.
