SWFAS elects officers for 2011
Southwest Florida Addiction Services has elected officers for 2011. They include President – Andrea Fraser-Laster, assistant attorney in the Lee County Attorney’s Office; Vice-President Dena Geraghty, Lee County Dependency and Juvenile Drug Court; Secretary William Keyes, attorney at law; and Treasurer Geoffrey Roepstorff, Edison National Bank.
Other members of the board of directors are Fred Anderson of Chico’s FAS; Mark S. Atkins of Lee Memorial Health System; Diana Black, First Community Bank of Southwest Florida; Charlotte County Sheriff Bill Cameron; Joseph P. D’Alessandro, Goldberg, Racila, D’Alessandro and Noone, LLC, and former state attorney; Scot D. Goldberg, Goldberg, Racila, D’Alessandro and Noone, LLC; Lee County Tax Collector Larry Hart; Jean Morningstar, paralegal; and Kathleen Smith, public defender for the 20th Judicial Circuit.
“This group’s diverse experience and knowledge will help guide SWFAS’ activities as a critical part of the health care system, focusing on the treatment and prevention of substance use disorders,” said SWFAS CEO Kevin B. Lewis.
SWFAS is Southwest Florida’s most comprehensive substance abuse treatment and prevention program, operating from five offices throughout Lee and Hendry counties. Since 1980, SWFAS has helped more than 70,000 residents in Lee, Glades and Hendry counties rebuild their lives. SWFAS offers treatment services at all levels of intensity including residential, outpatient counseling, and group therapy. In addition, SWFAS provides detoxification services for adults, prevention programming for all ages, and an Employee Assistance Program for about 60 Southwest Florida businesses. SWFAS is a United Way agency.
