The shelter is open for adoptions from 11:30 am to 3:30 pm Monday through Saturday. The Shelter is located at 5600 Banner Drive, Fort Myers, next to the Lee County Sheriff’s Office, off Six Mile Cypress Pkwy.
All adoptions include spay/neuter surgery, age-appropriate vaccinations, rabies vaccination and county license if 3 months or older, flea treatment, worming, heartworm test for dogs 6 months and over, feline aids & leukemia test for cats, training DVD, 10-day health guarantee, and a bag of Science Diet pet food.
The adoption package is valued at $500.

Comments: I have been at the shelter since September. I’ve gotten to know so many of the dogs and people here and at night, I see everyone go home, some new and old friends get adopted and well, I am just wondering, when is it my turn. I’m a great girl. I have been learning sit, stay and other commands and am very good at it. I love to just hang out with our trainer, Lynn and sit in her lap or give her kisses. She thinks I am funny. I know you will too! Hurry, the holidays have come and gone and I really want to go home.
