Cypress Lake Middle to host open house
Cypress Lake Middle School is inviting interested families to its annual Choice Open House. The event is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. Monday, Jan. 24. The purpose is to provide interested students and parents the opportunity to acquaint themselves with the creative and performing arts school’s academic programs and student life. The night’s activities will begin in the gymnasium where attendees will be informed, inspired and even entertained by current students and that will be followed by a campus tour.
Not only does Cypress offer a full range of Arts electives, but it is also a place for students to grow, succeed and excel. Cypress Lake Middle has received an “A” grade from the Florida Department of Education for 11 years the faculty and staff prepare students to achieve at the highest academic levels in the state. The school is also home to championship athletic teams, an award-winning Odyssey of the Mind group as well as the many award-winning faculty members (i.e. Nationally Board Certified teachers, Golden Apple winners, numerous Teachers of Distinction, and Principal of the Year.)
The Lee County School District has designated Jan. 18 March 4, 2011, as the Batch 1 application period for the 2011/12 school year. To submit an application, parents can visit www.leeschools.net or go to any of the Student Assignment Offices across the county.
