Book nook hosts signings

Annette’s Book Nook at 7205 Estero Blvd. will be hosting a book signing on Jan. 15, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., for “Coconuts & Coquinas,” a history book by Beach resident Jean Gottlieb. The store will also be hosting winter resident author, Flame LaMothe, on Jan. 18, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., for the book “Living in Paradise.”

Jean Gottlieb and her husband Harry have been coming to Fort Myers Beach since 1955. She has seen many changes and has written about them in her book. It is about island life on the beach from 1920-1970, and includes many old photos of the way it used to be. She is a freelance editor and author, and her book won the 1999 Florida Historical Confederation’s “best local history monograph award.”

“Living in Paradise” is LaMothe’s first book and revolves around a strangers visit to Fort Myers Beach. The book is a light and entertaining beach read with mysterious adventures and romance.
