Bonsai Society to hold monthly meeting
Guests are welcome at the monthly meeting of the Bonsai Society of Southwest Florida on Saturday, Jan. 15, from 9 a.m. to noon. Presentations will be made by two bonsai experts: Erik Wigert will lecture on the appropriate use of specialized bonsai tools; and Mark Rhyne of Wood Crafters will speak on sharpening and maintenance of tools.
The meeting is held at the Support Personnel Association of Lee County Building at 6281 Metro Plantation Road, Fort Myers. There is no charge for attending the meeting and reservations are not required.
Bonsai is a horticultural art of growing trees in pots. It had its origins in China and Japan. Information about bonsai and the association will be available at the meeting.
