Town Arbor Day tree sale grows
The Town of Fort Myers Beach and the Estero Island Garden Club are offering trees for sale to celebrate the upcoming Jan. 21, 2011 Florida Arbor Day.
The trees are offered to island residents at half price. All orders must be submitted to Town Hall at 765-0202 (ext. 139). After purchase, the trees will be distributed on the celebrated Florida Arbor Day (Friday, Jan. 21, 2011), from 10 a.m. and noon only at Bay Oaks Recreational Campus at 2731 Oak Street. Take School Street and then take a left.
The sale is from now through Jan. 14, 2011. Call the Town for your orders at 765-0202 (ext. 139).
This year, the following trees will be offered:
– The Christmas Palm (resident price: $15);
– The Paradise Tree (resident price: $20);
– The Gumbo Limbo (resident price: $20);
– The Jatropha (resident price: $20).
All trees are in 7-gallon containers and the supplier is All Native Garden Center in Fort Myers.
