Quick moving thieves halt operations at a local business
A Lee County landscaping business has had to put its operations on hold for a bit, after its trailer and all the their equipment was stolen during a theft in which the suspects were in and out in less than 30 minutes.
Sometime shortly after midnight on November 17th, two unknown suspects cut a whole through the back fence surrounding Superior Landscaping, located at 5740 Zip Dr., Fort Myers. Once inside, the duo managed to move a truck that was parked in front of a
trailer. Minutes later, they were able to dismantle the lock on the front gate of the business, and a white, silver or grey, newer model Lincoln Navigator could be seen entering the fenced area. The two suspects hooked the trailer up to the Navigator, the fled the scene. The trailer itself is valued at approximately $6,000, but all the equipment used to run the business was inside the trailer, valued at more than $25,000.
Surveillance cameras captured images of the suspects entering the area, then fleeing with the trailer in tow. Anyone who recognizes these individuals, or the trailer, or who has any information about the crime, is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-780-TIPS
(8477). All callers will remain anonymous and will be eligible for a cash reward of up to $1,000. Tips may also be made online at www.swflcrimestoppers.org.
