FMBCF honored for cleanup efforts

Keep Lee County Beautiful honored the Fort Myers Beach Community Foundation for their work on Beach Cleanups at a recently luncheon at the Fiddlesticks County Club.
The FMB Community Foundation (previously Pilot Club) has coordinated with KLCB for the Beach Cleanups for 25 years. Ten years ago, the group added the Post Fireworks Cleanup, which takes place July 5 each year. During the presentation, KLCB Director Rudy Bush remarked that the Pilot Club started the annual cleanup two years before KLCB organized and was instrumental, through their work and donations, in making these become annual events.
