Beach Bowl announces SandFlake Bowl results
Owners Bill and Carlene (brother and sister owner act) of Beach Bowl hosted the fourth annual SandFlake Bowl Youth and Adult Tournament held on Saturday, Dec. 11, and Sunday, Dec. 12. They had the largest turnout ever with 40 teams and a total of 80 bowlers.
The winners of the tournament are as follows: Division A Brandon Brimball/Caryn Crowe 1191; Division B Bailie Lombardo/Shane “Pooh” Van Epps 1353; Division C Trisha Harris/Deanna Winchell 1204; Division D Sam Cronin/Brad Murray 1290 and Shane “Pooh” Van Epps/Ken Van Epps 1234; and Division E Sierra McKernan/Robert Hayer 1343; Sam Cronin/Dan Cronin 1303 and Shane “Pooh” Van Epps/Ashlie Taube 1303. Congratulations to the youth bowlers.
During Sunday’s squad, Santa came for a visit and presented each child with a gift. Thanks Santa. The kids loved it.
Beach Bowl has a youth league that bowls every Saturday morning at 9:30 a.m. League play will continue on Jan. 8, at 9:30 a.m. Ages 6-21 are welcome. Come join the fun. The league is run by certified coaches with Wes McNeely, operator of The Right Approach Pro Shop (located at Beach Bowl) as the league’s main coach. Mary and James Berner, Carlene Maurer and Bill Maurer act as assistant coaches. Mary Berner is also Beach Bowl’s tournament coordinator.
Beach Bowl’s next youth/adult tournament, called The Lucky Charms Tournament, will be held on March 19 and 20, 2011. Come join the fun and learn to bowl. Sign up now for Jan. 8. Call 466-3033 for information.
