Beach art for sale makes great gifts
The Fort Myers Beach Art Association walls are filled with original artwork, all priced at under $99. The art association members gather their art together each holiday season and put together a great opportunity for everyone to own a piece of original art at great prices. The paintings are varied in medium as well as subject, some are framed and some are simply matted. In either case the prices are terrific for such great pieces of art. Shop early as the work by our well known painters will fly out the doors.
A special feature of the “Art Divine, Under $99.” sale is the wall of mini paintings, 8×10 matted paintings for only $10 each. The Fort Myers Beach Art Association members donate these small works of art and funds generated by them go to support the association and it’s activities.
This show will run until Jan. 13 and will be open to shoppers and visitors during regular gallery hours of 10 am. to 3 p.m. Monday through Saturday and noon to 3 p.m. on Sunday. For more information call the gallery at 463-3909 or see our website at www.fortmyersbeachart.com.
On Jan. 6, everyone is welcome to the FMB Art Association for a “Members Coffee.” If you are curious about the organization and would like to find out more about what we do, come visit with the members. There will be someone there from each of the interest groups to tell you about their activities. Check out the beautiful gallery we have here on the beach. The coffee will be from 9:30-11:30 a.m. on Thursday Jan. 6.
Famous artist Dale Laitenen will be giving a watercolor workshop Jan. 17-21 at the Fort Myers Beach Art Association gallery and there are still a few openings. See the website www.fortmyersbeachart.com for more details.
