Bay Oaks offers fitness classes
Are you looking to get in shape? Or just get a little exercise and have a little fun. If so come to Bay Oaks Recreation Campus. We have a variety of fitness classes to keep you moving.
– Aerobics: Our aerobics class is every Monday, Wednesday, and Fridays at 8:30 a.m. This class is low impact and is $6 (members) $8 for (nonmembers) a class or $33 (members) or $41 (nonmembers) for a month.
– Line Dancing: Line dancing class is taught by Lu Carter and is quickly becoming a favorite. The class teaches the basics of line dancing and is every Tuesday from 9 am until 10 a.m. Cost is $5 for nonmembers and $4 for members.
– Good Morning Stretch: Bay Oaks newest class is designed to exhale stress away while stretching major muscle groups. Focused breathing and yoga techniques are used to relax the mind and body. Classes are Tuesday mornings at 9 a.m. Cost is $6 for members and $8 for nonmembers.
– Total Body Tune up: Starting on Jan. 12th a new class will be offered Wednesday nights to help combine all aspects of fitness. This class is designed to help improve strength, flexibility, and balance while giving you a good workout. This class will meet every Wednesday night at 6 p.m.
– Yoga Pilates: Yoga pilates is a class that is a wonderful blend of yoga stretching, relaxation, and pilates exercises. Classes will be every Thursday morning at 9 a.m. Cost is $6 for members and $8 for nonmembers.
– Zumba: Zumba is on Tuesday and Thursday at 6 p.m. For anyone that has not attended a Zumba Class, come see what all the buzz is about. Anyone over 18 is able to attend and experience is not necessary. Cost is $5 for non-members and $4 for members.
