What’s Happening at Chapel
We are a church for the community and we welcome all people seeking to know and serve Christ. We invite you to join us for any and all of the events that happen at Chapel.
The month of November is filled with opportunities and activities including, but not limited to, the following:
– Weight Watchers- Classes begin this Wednesday, Nov. 3, in Silver Hall. Weigh in is at 9 a.m. with meetings beginning at 9:30 a.m. Standard fees apply.
– Karate Classes- For kids and adults- we offer classes twice a week, Monday and Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. Call Sheila at 463-3173 (ext.23) for more information.
– Youth Fundraiser- On Sunday, Nov. 7, the Chapel youth will host a pasta dinner, jewelry and wreath sale among other things. Monies raised will support middle and high school activities such as retreats, concerts and other events throughout the year. Please call the office if you plan to join us for dinner.
– Operation Christmas Child- You have an opportunity to share the message of God’s love through a shoe box gift. Deadline to turn in your gift is Sunday, Nov. 7.
– Sisters in Spirit- (SIS) This month’s event will take us to the Fort Myers Beach Kiwanis Thrift Store for a brief presentation on how Kiwanis supports children and youth programs on the Beach. We will have an early lunch at Ruby Tuesday’s and return to Chapel to help with Chapel’s mission project by organizing or preparing shoeboxes for Operation Christmas Child. This is a wonderful opportunity for fellowship and fun; we hope you will join us.
– Soup Kitchen- Our next trip is Nov. 10. Call the office to reserve your seat on the bus.
– Habitat for Humanity- We plan to volunteer again beginning Nov. 11. No experience or special tools are required. “On the job training” is provided. Bring your own lunch, snack, water, etc. We leave Chapel at 7:30 a.m. and return by 3:30 p.m. Please sign up in Silver Hall or call the office.
– Dinner and a Movie- Our next movie night is Friday, Nov. 12, from 6-9 p.m. in Silver Hall (doors open at 5:30). This event is held on the second Friday of each month, and KidZ Night is held the same night upstairs. The evening begins with dinner at 6 p.m. followed by the movie at 6:45 p.m. Please reserve your seat by calling the office.
