Town Arbor Day tree sale begins next week
Once again the Town of Fort Myers Beach and the Estero Island Garden Club will be offering trees for sale to celebrate the upcoming Jan. 21, 2011 Florida Arbor Day.
The trees are offered to island residents at half price. All orders must be submitted to Town Hall at 765-0202 (ext. 139). After purchase, this year the trees will be distributed on the celebrated Florida Arbor Day, Friday, Jan. 21, 2011 at Bay Oaks Recreational Campus, 2731 Oak Street, Fort Myers Beach. between 10 a.m. and noon only. Take School Street and then take a left.
The sale goes from Nov. 22 through Jan. 14, 2011. Call the Town for your orders: 765-0202 (ext. 139).
This year, the following trees will be offered:
– The Christmas Palm (resident price: $15);
– The Paradise Tree (resident price: $20);
– The Gumbo Limbo (resident price: $20);
– The Jatropha (resident price: $20).
All trees are in 7-gallon containers and the supplier is All Native Garden Center in Fort Myers.
