FOLK continues with 2010/2011 Nature Series
The Friends of Lovers Key will present Island Under the Stars, hosted by the Everglades Astronomical Society, on Tuesday Dec. 7, from 6:30 to 9 p.m. at Lovers Key State Park.
Visitors will have the opportunity to view constellations and other objects in the night sky from the dark shores of Lovers Key State Park. Powerful telescopes will allow for a once in a lifetime observation of stars and planets. It is suitable for all ages. Bring a beach chair if you wish, bug spray or long sleeves, and come prepared for a short walk to the beach. It promises to be a special evening.

The cost is $15 for FOLKS members and $20 for non-members. All proceeds benefit the FOLKS fund for the Lovers Key Visitor Center.
